I showed my friends the Hotel, even though we stayed at the MacArthur Cafe.
Got another pic of me at the Lorcha Dock.
The Rowhouse has a new name and here is the sign to it. On this visit it was full and we had to look for another place.
We stayed at the MacArthur Cafe. Here is the staff.
This is a new addition to the MacArthur Cafe, it has 6 rooms. It is located between MacArthur Cafe and the Hostel.
The bed in our fan room, 800 Peso, a day, divided by two people.
The table corner of our room.
The bathroom, there was a mirrow and sink behind that door. A towel was prvided, the water pressure was great.
1st stop, Malinta Hill; the East Sector Command Post.
Inside the East Sector Command Post. I didn't remember that the scrappers were even up here or is this something new?
View from Malinta Hill, a helo at the south shore, Bottomside.
The helo is over the Mine Dock. Somebody said it was from LTO Department.
A zoomed in pic of the 'Hostel' and our guest house where we stayed.
A zoomed in pic of the hotel.
The sign for the 'Gift of Trees' project.
These 'Gift of Trees' trees seem to suffer greatly at Malinta Point. Is it the dryness or the strong prevailing NE winds?
Here are the 'Gift of Trees' trees between the chapel and Lorcha Dock. They also suffer and the grass under them is almost dead. I hope they will recover when the rain comes.
Each one of the 'Gift of Trees' tree has a sponsor plate.
On the southside, Bottomside, most trees seem to do ok here. But they are different trees.
Here, near MacArthur's stature the plants are suffering also.
At Lorcha Dock someone was drying a sign that said 'LET SIR HAL RUN'. I have no idea for what.
This sign had many copies displayed, apparently for a event on the island?
A visitor from Leyte is coming alongside Lorcha Dock.
They said 'They are from the Bureu of Fisheries' and are here to Manila for repairs.
2013-02-12 Near those steps in the last image is this large concrete block. It came from what explosion? It looks a little similar like the mystery concrete near the Japanese gun on the Morrison Hill slopes.
2013-02-12 Barrio San Isidro had a separate road towards the Stockade Level and crossed a small creek with this bridge between the Barrio and the Nipa Quarters.
2013-02-12 These steps go down the slope on the north side of the San Isidro Rise coming from that long walkway which runs pretty much on a north-south axis.
2013-02-12 Here is a walkway at the SE corner of the former barrio San Isidro at Fort Mills on Corregidor Island in Manila Bay
2013-02-12 These are foundations for houses at the SE corner of the former barrio San Isidro at Fort Mills on Corregidor Island in Manila Bay
2013-02-12 This is a low embankment for the road on the SE corner of barrio San Isidro near the Nipa Quarters.
This map pretty much describes what I seen so far as what is left from Barrio San Isidro and what is in this album.
2013-02-12 San Isidro is on a rise and here are some steps between the two different in height street levels. These steps are on the SE corner of barrio San Isidro near the Nipa Quarters.
2008-09-23 View from the former Barrio San Isidro Rise towards the Middleside parade grounds. The house was the former and post WWII Aviary residence and is now used by the American couple doing research and promotion for Corregidor.
