In Feb. 2009 we bought a new car. It had to be bigger, don’t cost too much and still fit into our garage. This car fit the bill.
One dent already and I have no idea how it got there. That is life, no need to cry.
It is a Mitsubishi Adventure, it cost 750,000 Peso (about 15,000 $ US).
I bought in San Fernando where most of the closest dealerships are. It comes with 3 years registration and the minimum liability insurance.
It runs on diesel and uses a hair less in volume than my prior KIA Pride. It averages about 10 km to a liter of Diesel or a little better.
Another great thing is that we can play a flashback drive (UBS connection) with our chosen music.
It is diesel and stick shift. Diesel is here about 7 to 9 Peso cheaper a liter than gas.
I sold my old car, a1998 Kia Pride, to Alan, my friend over here for an even $1000 US.
This car has a lot more room than the old one.
We already took the car to Matnog, Sorsogan, about 750 km distance from here and will do it again 2010.
We are happy with the new car!
2013-02-12 Near those steps in the last image is this large concrete block. It came from what explosion? It looks a little similar like the mystery concrete near the Japanese gun on the Morrison Hill slopes.
